ABOUT
Hello! I'm Joe Norris and I appreciate you taking the time to visit my site.
I am an operations program manager working in New Hampshire.
I studied mechanical engineering at Clarkson University in New York, graduating in 2019. During that time, I discovered that not only did I enjoy the technical challenges that came with engineering and applied mathematics but that I was fascinated by the world of business. I ultimately enrolled in a number of the university's business school courses and graduated with a minor in quality-based project management.
Entering industry fresh out of college at the age of 23, I accepted a role in process engineering in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role exposed me to the unique opportunities and challenges that our manufacturing and engineering industries face every day. The role fused engineering problem-solving with project management, human resource management, and a huge amount of time management hurdles. The role further confirmed that I was destined to delve further into the world of project management and inspired me to enroll in the MBA program at my alma mater, Clarkson University. No matter where my career and life takes me, I will always look back on my first job fondly. The team with which I worked was second to none and helped develop who I strove to become as a professional and as a person.
The COVID-19 pandemic, combined with countless other stressors on the global economy have resulted in a truly unique time to be in the workforce. With my graduation as an MBA expected at the end of this year, 2022, I transitioned from my role in process engineering. Shifting myself into a position to face these unprecedented challenges head-on, I accepted a role in Operations Program Management.
